Luis Cernuda. Years of exile

early 1964, shortly after the death of Louis Cernuda, José Emilio Pacheco published this paragraph in the Revista Mexicana de Literatura :

At war against the world, no powers other than those of poetry, Cernuda showed something they never learn: one form of greatness is achievable by the writer look bad all do things to not like anyone. Thus, Cernuda lived in a sullen solitude, surrounded by hatred all around: self-defense in an extremely vulnerable being, a fallen into the hell that accepts evil and to express it, it conjures.

Those words drew an eloquent portrait of a poet who made the sullen solitude their way of inhabiting the world and of occupying himself. And get ahora al frente del cuadernillo virtual que ha elaborado Tusquets para celebrar la salida de Luis Cernuda. Años de exilio (1938-1963), el segundo tomo de la biografía de Cernuda que ha escrito Antonio Rivero Taravillo.
