Did Denise Milani Have Plastic Surgery

Jesus Blasco (I). Jobs in Spain: 1935-1953

Review the history of Jesus Blasco is very enjoyable but daunting task, his work spans over 5 decades. I will try to shape his career over multiple entries, because their work is without doubt the most prolific and varied of all that I have reviewed.

Monterde Jesus Blasco born in Barcelona in 1919.

His love for drawing almost born with it, the story is known that his father is painted the silhouette of the Tibidabo that Jesus, his 4 years has resulted in the family room wall.

At age 15 he won first prize in a drawing competition in the magazine Mickey , earns as family support and can continue his passion. The editor of the journal entrusts his early work, copies of Disney characters and many humorous stories as "Cowboy Tom" Hates " or " Don Trifon making a decision ", Blasco is happy to publish next large English firms as Riera Rojas or classic American designers, which in its early influence, especially Caniff, Raymond and humorous line, Floyd Gottfredson and Segar. Go then
Bowling where first appears Cuto , great character, but in stories with different titles each time, the first is entitled " Cuto, ticks and Camarilla. Your next step is to review Pocholo , which is slowly climbing the "ladder", from the jokes and small strips down to the backs.

not had time to rise to cover artist, Civil War broke out , Jesus that ends in a refugee camp in France. Back in Spain have to repeat the military, punishment awaits those who did in the Republican army, begins to work in Editorial Plaza and then come to work in the magazine offer Boys. Here begins the most important stage of Jesus Blasco in our country. Consuelo Gil, director of the magazine asks a character for the publication and Jesus rescues Cuto , modernize and change their humor tour of the principle with a new, more adventurous and daring.

in 1940 and the number 143, starts Boys "The small police" , his first long adventure. From there, Jesus works in all publications of the House: Boys, My Girl, Little one, Big Guys ... and collaborates with Editorial and Swan Mill with covers, illustrations, etc.

In 1941 he began his second venture eventually "No way" , with a style similar to first, still immature, but which also observed a better sequencing and story development and the logic of American comic influences of the time.

album in 1942 featured in the new adventure Cuto, "The Blue Bird" and a short almanac Boys in 1943, "Kidnapping" , are the 2 pictures above.

also performs various cutting realistic adventures that do not involve Cuto: "The Land of black gold" , "The treasures of the great Balkan" , "The Lost World , etc. Drawing from these stories, some humorous and cutting mostly covers children's issues.

appears In 1942 another of his iconic characters, "Anita Tiny" , with which he obtained a new success that led him to reconcile with Cuto , alternating in all the magazines in the house.

This year also publishes "The mysterious planet" , the new adventure where Cuto already seen a major change in Blasco, there is no doubt that all their work and humorous illustration gives it a great wealth of resources poured into their long histories, providing them with intensive graphics.

is also published a booklet of 16 pages in black and white over color cover in Editorial Swan as the beginning of a collection: Famous Movies , this number first and only drawing Blasco called "Lost Horizons" . Your Tiny Anita continues to gain in quality to each number.

In 1945, a new adventure Cuto , "Tragedy in the Middle" . One of the cartoons most studied and remembered of Jesus Blasco with a large critical load lost on Franco's censorship, hyperactive at the time, because many establish a clear parallel between the scenes of the terrible bombing of Guernica, 1937 made in full Civil War.

Anita continues publishing and other short stories and illustrations, as well as an unusual collaboration, the continuation of an episode of Flash Gordon . Due to the restrictions caused by World War II, do not come to Spain his adventures and not be interrupted, invented in the journal Child Legends its continuation. Blasco out 2 pages to link two of these episodes.

In 1946-47, another major milestone in the series Cuto : "Cuto in the domains of the Sioux" . It is said that
Blasco begins to feel a certain weariness of the character, to the point that decides to kill him, "invention, really? The case is killed by the Indians, but the next number is given the explanation that character was a trick to deceive their enemies. Later, towards the end of the story, again die pierced by Indian arrows 2 to below give the explanation that the whole adventure is a dream of the protagonist, which is logical, as the adventure begins also with the boy's dream.

The 3 brothers Jesus Blasco, Alejandro , Adriano and Pilar professionals have followed in his footsteps and take some time drawing in different media, artists and forged as the band began work under the direction of Jesus .

appears In 1948 "The Case of missing boys" , new history of Cuto not as round as the previous ones, with an excess of text and drawing something rigid. In between are short stories, covers, etc. Also a long history "An Adventure in India" then further Cuto , "dead men on the island" , with a looser style and more style Cuto caricature that fails to please their readers, gives the impression that Jesus looking for a new style for your creation.

In 1948 The Blasco embark on a new adventure, carry out notebooks "War" were the years when Boixcar swept his feats of war And test fortune. Made some notebooks with the generic title Episodes of war ", but luck did not accompany them and only come out three numbers.

In 1950, another magnificent creation, this time in the comedy field Childhood "Topolino" , the magazine of the same name, although these stories, as well as those of Tiny Anita are a child on the adventures are full of sinister characters: witches looking pretty scary, frightening monsters and animals and even the devil himself. It seems that our parents and grandparents were not concerned so much politically incorrect.
In the same year, a new Cuto : "Black Star" with a Cuto enlisted in the U.S. military. Well done, but with less hook than the previous "In the Middle" and "Among the Sioux."

Images Marcela, Florita magazine (1951) and Dan Jensen, Hobby (1952).

Working with his brothers work and the Blasco diversify, in addition to the usual comic illustrations and made 3 albums of cards and collaborate with other publishers, for the magazine The Coyote do "The tyrants of Timberton" and "Two Brothers" to Alcotán "Dan Jensen" and "Smiley O` Hara "Cimarron to a wonder done in gouache , "Bazooka Joe" to Adventurous, etc.

Because of the potential to produce much more material between the four brothers, offering their services to international agencies and the immediate success accompanies them, are beginning to partner with European publishers, especially English, de forma cada vez más continuada y absorvente.

The evil legacy" , but is interrupted with the disappearance of the magazine and published a few pages displayed traced and destroyed in what would be a sad prelude to the issues that would come later.

Back in 1974 until its closure in 1983, Chito magazine takes a character who was publishing the Portuguese Jornal do Cuto , Jesus Blasco had entered a new phase of his character for this journal, but published at the end only 37 pages of "World Inc Underworld" which was also unfinished.

I still have to thank for the aid to this post. At Jose Manuel friends as or Carlos Gimenez, who have given me material from their collections for scanning, Joan Navarro Blog , where I learned a number of images and especially the book Kids, a magazine Chronicle , edited by the Generalitat Valenciana and the author of his texts, Antonio de Mateo Remacha .

As they said in the comics: do not miss the next chapter: Jesus Blasco UK
